The punchy, brooding backbeat springs into life with vocal stabs, drop-outs, reverse FX, and industrial-sized glitches. Tantrum evokes shades of Nitzer Ebb and other '80s exponents of the mechanical funk sound, while Sycophant interweaves a grizzly bassline and persistent cowbell with pitch-shifting synthesizers and sci-fi loaded effects.
