The Fool were a quartet consisting of Seemon Poshima (aka Simon Posthuma, the father of Douwe Bob), Marijke Koker, Josje Leeger and Barry Finch. The two original members and clothing designers, Seemon and Marijke, were discovered by the British photographer Karl Ferris, who published their hippie clothes in The Times. One of their high-profile engagements involved costume designing and decorating for the Beatles, including the entire side of the Fab Four's Apple boutique on Baker Street in London, as well as a Rolls Royce and grand piano for John Lennon. They also designed some of that era's LP jackets including the Hollies' Evolution album.Graham Nash, who was a member of the English pop/rock group the Hollies and the folk-rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, produced The Fool's 1968 debut album.
