"Scissor & Thread present a collaboration between label boss Francis Harris and DJ Aakmael. Aakmael has built a reputation for some of the deepest, rawest house music sounds coming out of the US, releasing well-received tracks on a variety of labels. Aakmael and Harris cook up an intoxicating vibe across this five-track EP. Aakmael's ""Deep Muzik"" is a blend of skittering drums, a shuffling groove, deep keys, and chords. On the B side, Frank joins Aakmael for ""Mercy Of Means"", slipping into an easy, mid-tempo groove before Frank's ""Part Song"" also hones in on the subtle deep grooves."
