After five R&B hits on chess Records, Laura Lee signed to Hot Wax Records in 1971 to work with the ex-Motown producers (Holland - Dozier- Holland) newly created label. Two Side Of Is Lee's 1972 Classic featuring the standout tracks 'Rip Off', which became her biggest R&B hit at #3 and 'crumbs on the table'. The Chicago born singer gives a husky voiced performance on a record that was mainly produced by William Weatherspoon, formally of Motown.
