Vinyl LP pressing. Terry Callier was an American jazz, soul, and folk guitarist and singer-songwriter. His 1972 release What Color Is Love mixes the Chicago soul sound from Chess / Cadet records of the modern soul of Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler. He opened for George Benson and Gil Scott-Heron. His creamy, soulful tenor floats atop the groove that he creates. After gaining custody of his daughter he became a full-time father and drifted away from music and in to computer science. He died in 2001 from cancer.
