On April 28th, Body High will release Begging Please, the debut solo album from label head Samo Sound Boy. In an unprecedented approach for an album rooted in club culture, Begging Please, is an honest and unguarded story, relatable to many, but a singular achievement in it's unique delivery and detail. Citing Marvin Gaye's Here, My Dear as a key influence, Samo uses his own distinct language to tell a vivid and personal narrative. Lush synth work, jagged percussion, and hauntingly soulful samples, bring us into his autobiographical account of love slowly breaking down and falling apart. The idea that dance music could be considered one-noted or lacking in depth has never made sense to me. I think the very simple way it builds up and down is so fundamentally reflective of living in the world, Samo said recently. What's dark and brooding can give way to the most ecstatic moments, all because one small thing is added or subtracted. Begging Please is a story about the last couple years of my life, told the best way I know how.Following his collaborative DJ Dodger Stadium LP with Jerome Potter, Samo wrote and recorded Begging Please during the second half of 2014 in Los Angeles, California. Introduction, Baby Don't Stop, Feel Something, The Only Thing, Save Wait Time, Got It Bad, What Can I Do, Begging Please, Lost It, You Come for Me
