The music keeps flowing out of the Attic Studio, and we're blessed once again with a fresh new 45 from Marcus I Meets Adubta. The latest release in their 7-inch series is Mr. Money Man, a powerful blend of Nyabinghi spirit and Rocksteady swing-anchored by a deep one-drop groove. With it's full auxiliary percussion stylings and the fun off-shoot lyrics from singer Marcus I, this single is a unique addition to their discography. The single further showcases the authentic, high-quality craftsmanship of producer and drummer aDUBta, who hails from Bavaria, Germany. Known for his analog production style and hands-on approach, aDUBta played and recorded all instruments himself. Mr. Money Man was written during a series of sessions last year, as part of the duo's ongoing effort to channel the timeless vibes of 1960s Studio One. The B-side, simply titled Version, delivers a heavy dub cut mixed live by aDUBta on his trusty Tascam 388. Expect space echo trails, feedback swells, and percussive drops galore-classic ingredients with their own twist. A serious sound system piece and a must-have for selectors and collectors alike. Better grab doubles. Mr. Money Man, Mr. Money Man (Version)
