Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing in Tip-On jacket featuring original artwork. Second album from the groundbreaking and influential art-rock/new wave outfit produced by Gilles Martin and Peter Principle (Tuxedomoon). Originally from Tel-Aviv, Minimal Compact emerged into the European new-wave scene after relocating to Amsterdam in the early eighties. Their first self-titled 12 released in 1981 (and produced by Dick Polack of Mecano fame with Marc Hollander aka Aksak Maboul and founder of Crammed Records) was a refreshing take on contemporary new wave and post-punk. Their 1985 and third album, Raging Souls, was produced by Colin Newman (Wire) and reached new crowds with an ethereal and somber 4AD-like singles My Will and When I Go, which later appeared on the award-winning Wings of Desire film, directed by Wim Wenders.
