Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing in Tip-On jacket featuring original artwork. Second album from the groundbreaking and influential art-rock/new wave outfit produced by Gilles Martin and Peter Principle (Tuxedomoon). Originally from Tel-Aviv, Minimal Compact emerged into the European new-wave scene after relocating to Amsterdam in the early eighties. Their first self-titled 12 released in 1981 (and produced by Dick Polack of Mecano fame with Marc Hollander aka Aksak Maboul and founder of Crammed Records) was a refreshing take on contemporary new wave and post-punk. The Figure One Cuts, their fourth and last studio album released in 1987 and produced under the skillful hands of John Fryer (Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Nine Inch Nails), was their most commercial new wave album with standout tracks as Nil Nil, Inner Station and Piece of Green.
