Emerging from the basements of Chicago's northern suburbs, came a band that brought refreshing new style to an industry that currently breeds so many mediocre ensembles hoping to be the next eMpTyV buzz clip. The Smoothies sound was not so new, (in fact some of the songs were quite reminiscent of Nirvana's Bleach days), but rather the presentation.
