Limited edition 180 gram audiophile vinyl LP pressing. Heads & Tails is the sterling debut album from singer/songwriter and human rights activist Harry Chapin. Shortly after it's release in 1972, and thanks in part to Johnny Carson for asking the artist to come back a second night after he blew the audience away with his signature hit Taxi, Chapin was soon on his way to the top rungs of the charts. Rock and pop radio also took notice and began to play the nearly 7 minute single relentlessly. However, the Jac Holzman-produced Heads & Tails is no one hit wonder and is also home to further compelling Chapin fare like Any Old Kind of Day, Dogtown, Same Sad Singer and Empty, and is a wonderful listen to this day. Could You Put Your Light on Please 4:30, Greyhound 5:45, Everybody's Lonely 4:07, Sometime Somewhere Wife 4:58, Empty 2:57, Taxi 6:44, Any Old Kind of Day 4:56, Dogtown 7:30, Same Sad Singer 4:12
