Hailing from Adelaide, The Mark of Cain were originally influenced by bands like Joy Division, but were heavily into the early US hardcore scene and hence incorporated that sound in their recordings. As a result, tours and collaborations with the likes of Henry Rollins, Fugazi, Helmet, Pavement and Primus followed.
