Vinyl EP version, includes Bug remix. This release features remixes of I Am Where the Party's At, a track off of Nicolette's long-awaited third album Life Loves Us, released in late 2005. Life Loves US proved itself to be a life-affirming, true and uplifting river of sound, with twelve quirky, catchy songs plus interludes and soundbytes. I Am Where the Party's At is a song of astonishing energy and inventiveness, as per usual with Nicolette's trademark asymmetric beats and high-toned lush vocals. This time, there are the spicy added flavors of drum n' bass, old school dancefloor funk, space-age microtones, futuristic gospel, and even a hint of Public Enemy thrown in. The result is a pop song of exceptional originality, with a ridiculously catchy hook and a driving warped bassline that rattles the spine. Including a remix by the Bug, this track is rendered melodic and funky, yet deep and hard - infecting US with it's uplifting mood and bright bubbles of high-pitched sound. Strange and evocative melodies run lightly in the background against Nicolette's rich and childlike voice (or should we say voices?). I Am Where the Party's at, I Am Where the Party's at, I Am Where the Party's at, No Government
